Working on this size of units required some mind games to help keep you going. I started in pure mass-production mode, and then switched to completing certain stages in batches
to help things along. As you can see, I've made the decision to get the grenadier company and officers ahead of the game slightly, and you can also see that I painted each figure in
tiny steps. I would paint all the belts, then all the little bits between the collar and belts, then all the waistcoats, then all the turnbacks and so on. Sometimes, I would change the order
just to keep myself on my toes and make sure I was paying attention! It's amazing how your eyes can glaze over and miss things when you're slapping paint on 80 figures in one go.
